[edit]I changed this cos you don't need per pixel lighting to implement bump mapping, I have a few software rendered examples of this using triangle subdivision, and I have seen similar techniques used elsewhere. This applies to most lighting and shading techniques in that they can be applied at sub-pixel quality in all kinds of ways to improve speed in an application.
I also expanded it a bit and added some 'see also' and some other minor details... still left it as a stub as its quite small tho...

Phong shading

- Phong shading is a specific technique of lighting per-pixel. I will be sure to include this. BMacZero (talk) 16:21, 27 April 2012 (UTC)
