Removed snark line from someone who clearly just hates anyone associated with current regime. The article will need to be better sourced since this is likely new SECNAV. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.186.179.90 (talk) 21:08, 28 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Birth place

[edit]

This USNI article says that Bilden is "originally from Newport, R.I." Is there any reason to believe that he wasn't born there? gobonobo + c 22:34, 26 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I've had the opportunity to discuss this personally with the source; He was not born in Newport, RI.Niccasey (talk) 13:31, 27 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Niccasey: I'm fine with leaving it off for now, but we can't use your personal conversations with Bilden as a source. Do you have a different source that indicates his birth place?
Also, since you seem to have a close connection to the subject, you should familiarize yourself with the conflict of interest policy. Editors with conflicts of interest are strongly discouraged from editing affected articles directly and are required to disclose their affiliations and whether they are being paid. gobonobo + c 01:00, 2 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
