Error in line 1: "The Otaheite gooseberry (Phyllanthus acidus... is the only tree with edible fruit in the Phyllanthaceae family." NOT TRUE! P. emblica and P. indofischeri (amla/ nelli) are in the same genus, and in addition to being medicinals, they are very popular summer fruits that are eaten fresh or candied throughout South Asia. I bet there are others in the family which are edible too -- it's a big family.

Under Names in other languages: among names in Sri Lanka, the last two names i.e.:වෙද නෙල්ලි, බෙහෙත් නෙල්ලි both refer to Phyllanthus emblica sp. Both species are called නෙල්ලි (Nelli) in short, but to remove ambiguity in speech we prepend බෙහෙත් (Beheth) or වෙද(veda) to the name නෙල්ලි, for Phyllanthus emblica, because both words Beheth and Veda means "medicinal". The first two words of this referenced article carries the sinhala name of Phyllanthus emblica, as බෙහෙත් නෙල්ලි, which even a non-sinhala speaker can understand.
