Refs needed
[edit]Apart from the addition I just made this lacks credibility since it has no references, and urgently needs documentation. --Mgoodyear 01:06, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

Unbalanced content and misrepresentation
[edit]I have made several changes to the 'Theoretical discourses' section which misrepresented the situation in regard to the position of feminists and the women's movement.
And right now, the section 'Advocacy' is also very problematic. This is exactly what the source (Daniella Danna - which is used through much of this article) says:
page 167, excerpt form the book:
"Meanwhile, prostitutes began to organise themselves (...) The Comitato was born in the wake of the feminist movement of the 1970s, but did not have direct contacts with groups of the feminist movement. Indeed, members of the Comitato viewed it very suspiciously, although now one of the two leaders of the prostitutes, Carla Corso, declared herself a feminist. This feeling was reciprocated: as one feminist leader wrote: 'It is not possible to find contact points other than a generic solidarity, with women who do not realise that their struggle is aimed only at the concreteness of everyday life and that it doesn't question the more dangerous field of male fantasizing' (Bocchetti 1995:43)." 123username (talk) 20:14, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
