Some comments
[edit]I see a number of issues here:
- The fourth sentence of the lead is "He spent the last days of his life at Dehradun with Meera and her son Jayabroto, with whom he had an extra-maritial relationship." This suggests that he had a relationship with the son, or with both the mother and the son.
- It also leaves the reader wondering who these people were, or where Dehradun is, since neither has been mentioned in the lead before.
- The woman's name is spelled as "Meera" and as "Mira" in different parts of the article.
- Her husband's name is spelled as "Chattopadhyay" and as "Chattapadhyay".

Death date
[edit]For a while, the article gave his death date as 3 May in two places, and 6 May in one place. Then, on 3 June, an IP changed it so it was 3 June twice and 3 May once. I noticed the discrepancy on 15 July and mentioned it during a discussion of its DYK. I would've fixed it myself if the date was in an English source. Today, it was changed so all three are 3 June, but according to the edit summary, she also couldn't read the sources, and presumably guessed that the date which appeared twice was the correct one. Would Royroydeb or someone else who can read the sources please check the date and make sure it's correct in all three places? MANdARAX • XAЯAbИAM 18:22, 19 July 2019 (UTC)
- @Mandarax: I have now fixed it. As per Anandabazar,
which translates to
- 3 May 1961. In Dehradun's 'Mitali', just some days before the 100th birth anniversary of Rabindranath, his talent son Rathindranath passed away. RRD (talk) 04:33, 20 July 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks for looking it up and correcting it in the article. MANdARAX • XAЯAbИAM 06:28, 20 July 2019 (UTC)
