Financial markets
[edit]Do we really need a section on the reaction of the financial markets to this event? --Discott (talk) 09:46, 15 July 2016 (UTC)
- Yes. 43.224.156.133 (talk) 10:08, 15 July 2016 (UTC)
- Why not? - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 13:45, 15 July 2016 (UTC)
- I just read a fascinating paragraph in this article which informed me that "Asia, stocks close mixed as Chinese GDP grew better-than-expected". Then there's the interesting bit about "positive retail sales data in US". I mean... -- zzuuzz (talk) 15:06, 15 July 2016 (UTC)
This entire article is a quote farm
[edit]I don't get the insistence on creating these articles. – Muboshgu (talk) 16:52, 15 July 2016 (UTC)
United Kingdom has too many reactions from its leaders
[edit]I do not understand why there are so many reactions from UK politicians. I think it is best just to include a reaction from the Queen or the Prime Minister. De88 (talk) 17:51, 15 July 2016 (UTC)`
AfD
[edit]@Softlavender: Are we really going to have another long drawn out AfD about arguments that have been told and retold over and over? Keep in mind that the most recent article Reactions to the 2016 Orlando nightclub shooting was kept by I am sure the same reasoning you are going to propose. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 19:50, 15 July 2016 (UTC)
- @Knowledgekid87: that article wasn't kept, it closed as "no consensus". Many of the "reaction to" AfD discussions close as "no consensus". Maybe one day we'll establish just how full of non-encyclopedic cruft these articles are. – Muboshgu (talk) 21:08, 15 July 2016 (UTC)
- Not everyone agrees with you though, hopefully one day something will be put into place keeping the articles in place as encyclopedic. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 22:38, 15 July 2016 (UTC)
Popular reactions
[edit]This is a notable part of this event, solidarity around the world should be mentioned. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 22:55, 15 July 2016 (UTC)
So now we are quoting tabloids, and tweets that say "FFS"?
[edit]This article is going downhill by the second. Softlavender (talk) 02:26, 16 July 2016 (UTC)
Orphaned references in Reactions to the 2016 Nice attack
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Reactions to the 2016 Nice attack's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
