My recent cleanup

[edit]

I voted to keep this article in the recent AfD, but had to significantly clean it up. It looks like most of the article was written by the article subject, and I hope that writer will read this. Things need to be sourced to be added to the articles. That aside, the article really read like a resume. At this point, what makes Red notable are his connections to the Howard Stern Show and the fact that he has his own show on serious. I will look for sources to these ends. Much of the other content about individual things that happened on various Stern show episodes seem too trivial to warrant inclusion, I doubt there would be any reliable source outside of a show summary that would mention them. Feel free to prove me wrong. Anyways... if anyone finds sources for Red, either add them yourself, or feel free to just post them on this talk page and hopefully I or anyone will add them in. PLEASE DELETE THIS WHOLE ARTICLE. IT IS FULL OF INACCURACIES AND MISINFORMATION. WHOEVER IS EDITING HAS NO BASIS OF REALITY AND IS CONTRIBUTING TO A GROSS MISREPRESENTATION OF THE FACTS. FURTHERMORE, THE EDITOR'S INABILITY TO SPELL CORRECTLY AND USING TERMS LIKE "ANYWAYS" SHOWS LACK OF EDUCATION AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE. HOW A PERSON WITH SUCH POWERS CAN HAVE ACCESS TO SAYING "YAY" OR "NAY" TO ENTERED FACTS, GIVES LITTLE OR NO CREDIBILITY TO THE SPIRIT AND PROCESS AND TO THIS SOURCE OF INFORMATION. FOR THE SAKE OF FAIRNESS, AND REAL FACTS, PLEASE DELETE THIS ARTICLE. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.60.181.225 (talk) 23:05, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Red, since there are no sources, I've removed everything other than the listing of your albums and the note that you are a frequent guest on the Howard Stern show. As a subject, "Red Peters" was deemed likely notable enough to have an article here (I myself voted that you were), but that is under the premise that there are reliable sources somewhere to back up information regarding the subject. Without such sources, editors shouldn't add further information about the subject that may be incorrect. If no such sources are ever produced, then this subject can go back to WP:AFD. Sources

[edit]

Here we go: this is a start. Plenty of good info in there regarding Red's history that can be added to the article. Gwynand | TalkContribs 14:15, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
