Alice Jones

[edit]

The content of this article seems to be at least half about Jones. If there is no article about Jones, should this information be incorporated into an article titled, for instance, "Rhinelander and Jones?" Interlaker (talk) 14:27, 7 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This article should be listed under Alice Jones Rhinelander, not Kip Rhinelander. The historical relevance of this marriage is due to issues with Alice's racial status and what she was subjected to on trial (particularly in relation to photojournalism). Kip Rhinelander and his family have no other historical relevance. Sarahberry9 (talk) 03:58, 10 August 2016 (UTC) Sarahberry9[reply]

Kip RhinelanderRhinelander v. Rhinelander – This page is more about the court case in general than about the plaintiff; notably, it has a lot of information about the defendant (Alice Jones) as well. Neither Rhinelander nor Jones really merits a full article by themselves. The noteworthy entity here is the famous court case. Quuxplusone (talk) 06:19, 3 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support, as nominator. See also the section above, Talk:Kip Rhinelander#Alice Jones, where a couple other people also point out that the current article is at least as much about Jones as Rhinelander. What ties the two together is the court case.

The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
