BLP sources - see page top notice.

[edit]

The cited sources do not alone assert notability. Coverage must be significant - one published source may be inadequate while others may not be reliable. Further information regarding the type and number sources required to verify claims made in biographies of performing artists, and establishing notability can be found at WP:RS, WP:GNG, and WP:ENT. --Kudpung (talk) 02:14, 4 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Still lacking sources. Concerns have been expressed recetly that there may also be COPYVIOs, but thee may be sites that are using Wikipedia content. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 09:20, 31 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed the notability tag. He clearly passes the notability criteria for opera singers, with multiple leading roles in leading opera houses as can be seen from the archives of both San Francisco Opera and the Metropolitan Opera and having been a winner of the Metropolitan Opera Auditions, plus multiple coverage of his performances via Google Books. I've also removed the "advertising" for his opera festival and the names of his wife and child pending a reference per WP:BLP. I see no evidence of copyvio in the current version of the article. Death date removed

[edit]

I have removed the recently added and unreferenced date of death (18 November 2015) pending confirmation. Never insert a death date for a previously living person without a published reliable source. It is a serious violation of the biographies of living persons policy. At the moment, there is nothing on his official website indicating his death and no published reports, apart from a comment on YouTube. Please do not re-add the death date unless you also add a reliable source as an inline citation. Voceditenore (talk) 06:10, 20 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have now re-added the death date of November 2015 referenced to Communiqué du conseil d'administration du Festival Lyrique de Belle-Ile (20 November 2015) published on the official Facebook page of Le Festival lyrique international de Belle Île en Mer. I have put only "November 2015" and not added the exact day as the Communiqué, published in the early hours of this morning, did not give one. Voceditenore (talk) 06:29, 20 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I found a published obit from a French newspaper. Sourcing is no longer an issue. Best.4meter4 (talk) 16:40, 21 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
