More Details About Plane Crash Please

I'm making a study of the submarine war in the Pacific in WWII, and Bob English's death is mentioned as a cause for significant change in US war planning, so I came here to find out details about what is already commonly known as a "plane crash". I also happen to know that 1) the US kept secrets from the US public about the war long after it was over, and 2) the US used their ability to decrypt Japanese messages to effectively assassinate Admiral Yamamoto. So now I'm wondering about the specifics of this plane crash, and whether or not it might be "interesting". The Article seems sparse, so there is plenty of white space to fill with the details of the plane crash that killed him, and the other US Navy officers that were onboard the plane at the time, which seems "interesting" (meaning suspicious) to me.
