[edit]This article is full of unsourced claims and a pointer to the guys autobiographical web page. It really needs to be cleaned up.Toddstreat1 00:28, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
First, I just went through the entire article and I found one unsourced fact - the second team All American in 1990, so I added the supporting reference. Everything else in the article is sourced, either in the supporting references or in the external links. Second, I suspect nobody knows an athlete's career better than themselves. When the bulk of the article is built on other sources, is there really a problem with providing a link to the actual person's web site? In this case Ukrop may provide one or two more minor details which aren't covered in other sources. Also it gives a sense of Ukrop which the article itself does not convey. By providing the link, Wikipedia offers readers the opportunity to see the man as he sees himself. Finally, if the article needs to be cleaned up, please either fix the problems or provide some guidance on what you think needs to be done.Mohrflies 02:39, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
Well, one of the reasons I put the {Blpdispute} there so so folks can click on the link there on Wikipedia's policy on biographies of living persons:
- Material from self-published books, zines, websites, and blogs should never be used as a source about a living person, including as an external link, unless written or published by the subject of the article.
It's not clear which facts come from which references. I'm restoring the template. Toddstreat1 05:33, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Robert Ukrop. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/20061115150942/http://www.nscaa.com/awards-src.php to http://www.nscaa.com/awards-src.php
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.
