Anti-clerical purges?[edit]

I came here looking for info on the anti-clerical purges in some states of Mexico, as one can read about in Graham Greene's "The Power And The Glory". No info, and no links to info. Can anyone help?

Neutrality[edit]

Some discussions in the Status of the Roman Catholic Church in Mexico section are heavily biased towards the side of the Roman Catholic church and severely underplay divisions between the church and Mexican Society. Furthermore, the history and belief systems of the Roman Catholic Church are not directly linked to its relations with Mexico, and as such do not belong in this article; rather under the main article for the Roman Catholic Church. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 168.229.28.176 (talk) 19:03, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Latin and Eastern Catholicism in MexicoCatholic Church in MexicoWP:CONCISE (no change to WP:PRECISE, since "Catholic Church" encompasses both Latin and Eastern Churches), and to be in line with main page rename to Catholic Church. Deus vult! Crusadestudent (talk) 01:22, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi there! Do you have any reason to believe this move might be contested or need discussion? If so, normally the WP:RM process allows for seven days of discussion so interested editors can have their say. If not, we can go ahead and move it. In the future you can use WP:RM#TR for technical requests that are uncontroversial. --Laser brain (talk) 11:19, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I do not think this is a controversial move. Both "Latin Catholicism in Mexico" and "Eastern Catholicism in Mexico" are subsets of the "Catholic Church in Mexico". –BoBoMisiu (talk) 12:13, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah I do; if User:Afterwriting caught me making a move without consensus, I'd get an earful for "disruptive" editing (I just got a bunch of similar moves reverted by him for that reason, with a nastygram posted to my talk page). Otherwise, the current title (and the one immediately previous to it, "Roman and Eastern...", is just plain dumb and shouldn't be controversial. I'm going to take your suggestion as sufficient permission and just move it now. Deus vult! Crusadestudent (talk) 16:46, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, I can't, because the target page is a redirect and I lack permission to override. Otherwise I would move it. I'll throw on the RM#TR tag. Deus vult! Crusadestudent (talk) 16:49, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
