There's a very nice, well-sourced article on her in the Italian Wikipedia article "Silvia Balletti." Her stage name was "Silvia," her real name was Giovanna Bellotti (née Benozzi). I tried to link the English article to the Italian one and vice versa, but I couldn't make that work. I don't speak Italian, so I can't translate the Italian article into English, and I'm not a good enough Wikipedia editor to correct the title of either article.
