Architect[edit]

The statement in our text, whose design is attributed to the architect Bruschetto, appears to be erroneous:

  1. There are no traces of architect Bruschetto anywhere, except in the book by Titi and on the Wikipedia mirrors of our article and its translations into other languages. Drop the "r", and Buschetto is one of the (many) variants of spelling of Buscheto (the one who built the Pisa Cathedral, Duomo).
  2. the text fatta sul modelo del Duomo is "made on the model of the cathedral"
  3. the overall meaning of the Italian text appear to be that S. Paolo was modelled on the Duomo and not the other way around, as the architect B. would never copy. So there is no attribution of S. Paolo to B., the text simply says that whoever built S. Paulo must have copied the Duomo.

@Rococo1700: I am planning to remove the attribution. The other wikis suggest that the architect is Giovanni Pisano, although he clearly did the rework of the facade "modelled after the Duomo". Викидим (talk) 17:20, 2 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
