Move should be undone

[edit]

User:Green Giant moved this page from Sangguniang Barangay to Barangay councils in the Philippines. "Sangguniang Barangay" is common in English-language sources and has the benefit of being official. It is similar to Bundestag. Therefore more fitting with WP:CommonName. However I cannot figure out how to undo the move. --Iloilo Wanderer (talk) 08:02, 14 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I am not so sure because web searches suggest that "barangay council" gets about 58,800 Ghits whereas "sangguniang barangay" gets about 19,800 Ghits. In a search confined to books, "barangay council" gets 3,560 hits, whereas "sangguniang barangay" gets only 1,260 hits. This suggests that barangay council is a more common term.
If you wish to move the article back to the former name, I would recommend using Requested moves. Create a new section and add the following text {{subst:RMtalk|Sangguniang barangay|Reason.}}, replacing "Reason" with your reasoning. If you wish to move several at once, you will need to follow the guidelines at WP:RM#Requesting multiple page moves. Green Giant (talk) 10:17, 14 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
