– Santa Lucia is a famous Italian song, but the title has also many meanings and, looking at Special:WhatLinksHere/Santa_Lucia, seems that the disambiguation page should get the title. MrKeefeJohn (talk) 12:14, 13 June 2021 (UTC)
- Note: Santa Lucia titles a page with significant content and so is ineligible to be a target new title unless it is also proposed to be renamed. This request has been altered to reflect that fact. P.I. Ellsworth ed. put'r there 17:24, 13 June 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose. The song that is presently at the base name is the primary topic and so that is where the base-name title should stay. P.I. Ellsworth ed. put'r there 17:27, 13 June 2021 (UTC)
- Isn't that begging the question? The move request is tantamount to "I don't think the song qualifies as primary topic." Largoplazo (talk) 21:30, 13 June 2021 (UTC)
- And my opposition is tantamount to "I do think the song qualifies as primary topic." It certainly has a lot more page views than the other topics combined, plus I disagree with Crouch, Swale, because the song also qualifies as primary topic due to its long-term significance. My uncle, Papa Joe, used to sing "Santa Lucia" back when I was barely in my teens. (I'm now in my seventies.) The song has been being sung since the early 1800s! P.I. Ellsworth ed. put'r there 14:55, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
- Aren't places more likely to be primary under the 2nd criteria since they have generally existed longer and will likely exist long into the future. Crouch, Swale (talk) 16:31, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
- If that is true, and you may be correct, gentle reminder that between the two criteria, usage and significance, it does not have to be both. Just the usage, in terms of pageviews, is overwhelmingly in favor of the song as primary topic. P.I. Ellsworth ed. put'r there 19:21, 14 June 2021 (UTC)

- "Santa Lucia is" test in books shows more places than song mentions In ictu oculi (talk) 19:39, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
- I'm not sure I believe that pageviews 'overwhelmingly' favour the song. Plugging the dab page (newly expanded by MrKeefeJohn) to massviews seems to suggest the song gets less than half of the total pageviews for all articles listed on the dab (by my count, it comes to about 45% of total pageviews once you subtract the numbers for Help:Disambiguation and the dab pages linked under "See also"). You could argue that some of these are more like partial matches, but we're also not accounting for the entries at Saint Lucia (disambiguation) that also compete with this name. Colin M (talk) 16:29, 15 June 2021 (UTC)
- Support (and move the song article to Santa Lucia (song)). As MrKeefeJohn says, there are currently a lot of mistargeted incoming wikilinks, which I take to be strong evidence for a bad primary topic arrangement. (Here's a search query for wikilinks, which makes it a bit easier to see which links are mistargeted, by giving some context, compared to Special:WhatLinksHere) Colin M (talk) 22:32, 13 June 2021 (UTC)
- I added in Santa_Lucia_(disambiguation)#Geography also many ambiguos link that before were in Saint Lucia (disambiguation). MrKeefeJohn (talk) 09:26, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
- Weak support per PT#2. Crouch, Swale (talk) 09:53, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
- Support per nom (i.e. move the song article to Santa Lucia (song)). The sheer number of places and other articles with the name is enough to challenge the song's primary topic status. Additionally, there's a PLETHORA of incorrect/mistargeted incoming wikilinks to the song's page that were intended to link to other articles on topics titled Santa Lucia (often a solid indicator that the song isn't primary). Paintspot Infez (talk) 17:24, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
- Strong support No primary, so Santa Lucia (song) for the song. In ictu oculi (talk) 19:37, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
- Support per nom. No primary topic. Rename to Santa Lucia (song). -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:24, 16 June 2021 (UTC)
