While I do not doubt that circumstances that should be described as pilot error played a large part in this crash, I do wonder about the wisdom of making the summary field a blame/cause field in the way it currently is on this article - the cause of nearly every crash is complicated and almost never can be distilled down to an appropriate short summary. In this case it would perhaps be just as appropriate to say "software malfunction of auto throttle" as "pilot error". In my view the best thing to do in this field of the info box is simply to describle what happened in as short a way as is possible - leave the cause to the body of the article where it can be fully detailed. What is certain that just putting "pilot error" is not particularly accurate and is not particularly helpful to people's understanding. Andrewgprout (talk) 21:35, 30 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
