Notable criminal?

[edit]

This page seems to just be attacking the subject, the citations are all foreign? Off2riorob (talk) 03:12, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Being in a foreign language does not invalidate them. Of course English language sources would be better, but they are not required. We should avoid systemic bias when dealing with subjects from countries where English is not the primary language. If the guy is only known for his fraudulent scams, obviously the majority of the article is going to be about that. I ran some of the sources through Google translate and they support the content of the article, including the moniker "the prince of bad checks." Beeblebrox (talk) 20:38, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
He seems notable enough in Romania. He is all over [the news after his latest arrest, and there articles about him dating back to 1998 [1] (Ziua), and probably more exist in print because most Romanian newspapers were not on the web back then. In addition, the prosecutor general said the case was unprecedented—in Romania, of course. Could someone remove the message that says I have created an attack page?

I think the article has plenty of links. How many more are needed? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Apiojkk (talkcontribs) 01:44, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
