The result of the move request was: redirect Seven Isles to Seven Islands. There is no consensus primary topic. – wbm1058 (talk) 13:30, 17 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Seven Isles (Fort Lauderdale)Seven Isles – Following the deletion of List of places in The Chronicles of Narnia AfD, the Seven Isles dab page only links to a single eponymous article in Seven Isles (Fort Lauderdale) with an unlinked reference to the fictional realm from Narnia. As such, this is an unnecessary disambiguation page, per WP:TWODABS, as we have a clear primary topic in which we could easily provide a hatnote to the fictional Narnia realm. Doug Mehus T·C 19:04, 7 February 2020 (UTC) Relisting.  — Nnadigoodluck (talk) 06:11, 16 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This is a contested technical request (permalink). Anthony Appleyard (talk) 22:18, 7 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The argument I made to Dmehus was essentially that "Isle of X" and "X Island" are sometimes (though by no means always) interchangeable, and that it makes little sense to have two DAB pages on what are essentially variants of the same name.
For an analogous example, see Lenore Lake and Lake Lenore (a DAB page). Narky Blert (talk) 19:39, 7 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Narky Blert When you say you support treating this as a controversial request, did you mean treating it as an uncontroversial request, even if, perhaps technically, it may not be, for which you provided an analogous example? Or, did you mean to say you are opposing this request? Doug Mehus T·C 19:48, 7 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Reading your whole reply again, I can see it's definitely the former, not the latter. Apologies for the confusion. Doug Mehus T·C 19:50, 7 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I thought there might be a clue in the word "support". Narky Blert (talk) 20:05, 7 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
