I have just removed major violations from the article sourced from http://shirleyrobertson.com/profile/ Quite surprising that no-one noticed the addition. Not only were they blatant violations, the source is a primary source and ineligible as even a citation. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 13:35, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Deputy Lieutenant for the Isle of Wight

[edit]

I've been trying to find a source for when Shirley Robertson was appointed as a Deputy Lieutenant for the Isle of Wight, but without success. She is listed as one on the official website and her Who's Who entry gives the year of 2014. However I can't find an announcement of some kind to confirm that. I've been down a right rabbit hole of actually checking all current nineteen Deputy Lieutenants to the London Gazette and I've been able to match them all off against the official annoucnements, apart from Shirley Robertson! There may be an issue with her legal name judging from her Who's Who is actually Mrs Boag (even using the traditional Mrs. J. Boag in her title). I can't find a Gazette entry under Boag either. It's very confusing. Could the London Gazette be missing something? Doesn't anyone know another way find a reliable source for her appointment date? Seaweed (talk) 12:45, 13 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
