This article is written in Canadian English, which has its own spelling conventions (colour, centre, travelled, realize, analyze) and some terms that are used in it may be different or absent from other varieties of English. Untitled

OK, Need help. I wrote like eight paragraphs and only one is showing. Why is that? The others are still present in the editing page, they just won't show up in the article. That is very frustrating, somebody please help. Canadianpunk77 (talk) 22:35, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Visual Problems

Problems with article

There are a number of problems with this article including lack of sources and the vague title. I have begun work on writing the history section in greater detail based on sources at User:The Four Deuces/Canadian Left. I suggest renaming the article because its current title is vague. Also, since the NDP is one party, thre is no need to list the provincial affiliates. TFD (talk) 17:11, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

NDP and the nature of socialism

It seems problematic to me to qualify the NDP as a socialist party, especialy in the present times (after all, Justin Trudeau beacame prime minister has the LPC shifted the NDP on its left...). The same goes for the CCF, which had a strong liberal strend from the beginning. Social-democracy isn't synonymous with democratic socialism, and the NDP and the CCF qualify in my opinion as liberal parties, and not socialist ones.
