More information needed on the heroes 2099 team-up with Ravage, Punisher and Dr Doom to get hold of Libera Cielo and set the ground for the event ONE NATION UNDER DOOM.

Strangely absent from the 2099 Universe is the attack by the Phalanx and the destruction of Earth.

Yes I am a fan, I lost my 2099 comics so I am working from memory here, please help us rebuild the 2099 story lines. Missing from Wiki is Strange 2099 and Dare Devil 2099 who only received a very minor feature in the 2099 series

Herod and Avatarr is not fully documented in the Wiki notes, it is one of the instrumental characters in creating the Corporate Police State Dystopia. I utterly worship Marvel 2099 Carl Cordova 25-12-2005--203.164.190.57 07:03, 26 December 2005 (UTC) Gabriel Morrissette also worked on Spider-Man 2099. http://www.collectionscanada.ca/superheroes/t3-411-e.html Dawn22 07:19, 15 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

"hispanic superheroes"

[edit]

Is it proper to put him in this category? Does he even speak Spanish? SilentRage 21:56, 8 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Does one have to speak Spanish to be of Hispanic roots?--RedKnight 15:24, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Though can he really be considered Hispanic if his father wasn't? 64.180.93.200 (talk) 22:38, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A seven year old conversation. But honestly I think people would do well just taking FIVE MINUTES visiting the Hispanic and Latino Americans wikipedia page to figure out what a Hispanic is and isn't. 64.189.66.229 (talk) 01:01, 4 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Or just read the comics. He identifies as Hispanic and Irish, apparently. 207.136.88.190 (talk) 11:02, 11 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Spider-Man 2099 / Miguel O'Hara

[edit]

Realistically, the title of the comic book was Spider-Man 2099 but Miguel O'Hara alter-ego is simply Spider-Man.--RedKnight 15:21, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

In his universe, he isn’t Spider-Man 2099, as Spider-Man is a thing of the past, so there’s no confusion. However, for clarity, most people outside of his universe refer to him as Spider-Man 2099 to keep track. 207.136.88.190 (talk) 11:03, 11 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Diverging timelines

[edit]

Before the Exiles existed as a comic, Miguel had many adventures well past the point of well, New York existing (it was flooded). He was kidnapped, his mom died, his girlfriend turned insane...

I'd start putting this in but I have no idea where to even start.

I propose that the Exiles information be put into it's own seperate section. What do other people think?

Lots42 04:48, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I would agree, with you. The Exiles stories should be separated in it's own section, since it's technically a variant version of Spiderman. Although I'm not aware of these other storylines you mention, do you have sources for this? DavidFedor 09:00, 21 June 2007

Batman Beyond

[edit]

The original idea for the Spider-Man Unlimited animated series was to adapt Spidey 2099, but they were shot down for fears they would be regarded as a rip off of Batman Beyond

There's a great deal of Batman Beyond that is more than just visually influenced by Spidey 2099. I also think Derik Powers and his hold on Wayne Enterprises was heavily based on Tyler Stone and Alchemax. Anyone feel this way?

I agree with you on this the problem is finding the actual source showing that this is the case (Spider-Man Unlimited that is)

Fair use rationale for Image:Spider-man.JPG

[edit]

Image:Spider-man.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
