Really good, comprehensive article; should a 'spoiler warning' tag be added to the article because it reveals the game solution?

Also, descriptions feel rather informal; is there a way to bring them a little more into line with the encyclopedia format?

Export lists?[edit]

Made a suggestion on the Spy Fox 2 article, so I'll make it here, too. Should each of these lists be exported to a separate page (List of characters in "Spy Fox in Dry Cereal", etc.)? It would clean up the article a good bit.

I've gone ahead and exported the list of characters to an additional article. If this is a problem, it can be reverted.

The gadget list has been exported to the List of gadgets in the Spy Fox series. My intention with this was to build a master list of gadgets and link each game to the list.

I just watched "The Maltese Falcon" last night and was struck with the thought that Mr. Bigpig was based on the Fat Man (Kasper Gutman); for instance, Gutman has the following line "I'll tell you right out, I am a man who likes talking to a man who likes to talk" - comparable to Bigpig's (paraphrasing here) "I like playing Go Fish for trinkets with a fox who likes playing Go Fish for trinkets" and also Bigpig's penchant for ending sentences with "Sir!". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 170.123.4.230 (talk) 20:00, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Game Infomation[edit]

I have replaced infomation from the game which was previously removed as I believe that the infomation is an important part of this article. The brief segments of infomation I have restored now link to articles which contain more complete lists of the infomation in question. If anyone has any problems, issues or ideas with what I have done, they can talk to me on my talk page and I would be happy to respond. I'm sure we could work something out. Fair use rationale for Image:Greek Cantina.jpg[edit]

Image:Greek Cantina.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Variations?[edit]

I might be just remembering things wrong, but did they change around the voice actors for this game at some point? The version I first played would have been around 2000-ish, from a public library. Spy Fox had a humorous voice in that version. IN the ScummVM version I recently obtained, the voice of SpyFox is... dull. lifeless. Stereotypical mock-James Bond British. I want to obtain the version with the "proper" voie that matches my memories. Am I just paranoid? If not, the article should note changes made to the game. File:Spyfox1 screenshot hq.png Nominated for speedy Deletion[edit]

An image used in this article, File:Spyfox1 screenshot hq.png, has been nominated for speedy deletion for the following reason: Wikipedia files with no non-free use rationale as of 5 June 2012

What should I do?

Don't panic; you should have time to contest the deletion (although please review deletion guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to provide a fair use rationale
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale, then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Deletion Review

Category[edit]

Could we add this to the "Video Games with Alternate Endings" category? 2603:6010:8B45:FA00:85EA:6364:9420:2FA8 (talk) 00:27, 12 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
