repeated reversion of lede info

[edit]

I added info that is essential to teh understanding of teh statue, contained in teh body. It was reverted with a lame "besides a typo I am not sure it adds info". The typo was easily corrected and the info that Betjemann saved St Pancras from demolition in the 1960s, which I am sure adds information not as clearly contained in teh generic half sentence that follows ("Betjeman lifelong advocate of Victorian architecture) , added back in.

My addition was again reverted without going to talk. Come on , face the facts that the addition is clarifying andadding specifics and stop editwarring! Wuerzele (talk) 21:51, 11 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Per WP:BRD, the onus was on you to start the discussion. And to ensure that your additions were error-free. The point is that you were repeating information already in the article. Nonetheless, I have attempted a re-wording to make the connection more explicit. Perhaps we can discuss rather than edit-war, if it doesn't meet your concern.
