[edit]I found Stephen Mack's death date listed as "last Saturday" in the November 14, 1826 issue of the Detroit Gazette (i.e., Nov. 11th), his obituary given just above the Foreign News headline here: http://news.google.com/newspapers?id=RqBgAAAAIBAJ&sjid=8XINAAAAIBAJ&pg=2280%2C1994914. Googling produced another resource saying the same thing: http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=kbkeeley&id=I325 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.191.227.134 (talk) 16:39, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
Incorrect information and suggested reference
[edit]I believe the last line about Mack Avenue should be deleted. The street name first appeared in records and maps in 1855 and is said to be named after “John M. Mack, old settler and land owner”, according to The History of Detroit and Michigan by Silas Farmer, published 1855. This would also be a good reference, since it names Stephen Mack as share holder and director of the Bank of Michigan on page 859. Book here AquarianEssence (talk) 18:04, 5 December 2015 (UTC)
Notability
[edit]I am removing the notability issue from this article since WP:POLITICIAN says members of legislatures at the state or provincial level are presumed notable. I believe that territorial legislative bodies, as the precursors to state legislatures, would imply similar notability. Sarcasmboy (talk) 08:53, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
