Dainippon Sumitomo Seiyaku Gaisha (大日本住友製薬会社) isn't listed on this page, although I am unsure whether it is a subsidiary of Sumitomo Chemical Corporation or not. It certainly appears to operate as a separate entity rather than a branch or division of the Chemical corporation (which I've never heard of).

Group or Clan?

[edit]

Our article is titled "Sumitomo Group", while the lede opens with "Sumitomo Clan". The latter appears to be the historical family name of the founder. The company's English website [1] calls it the "Sumitomo Group", so I'm thinking that should be the opening of the lede also. --Pete Tillman (talk) 23:36, 14 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

SUMITOMO FORESTRY AMERICA

[edit]

Sumitomo Forestry America has just acquired Crescent Communities of Charlotte, NC, which owns multiple real estate holdings in Charlotte as well as newly acquired sections of other states such as Arizona (Phoenix) and middle Tennessee (source below). They have also acquired a large new expansion project in west Charlotte along the Catawba River called River District--not yet built--which is projected to be larger than any current Charlotte area of development (even the largest area called Ballantyne). The Sumitomo Forestry America Corporation is retaining the current name of the company, 'CRESCENT COMMUNITIES' so the acquisition will not accurately reflect the addition to the SUMITOMO GROUP you have listed in Wikipedia currently as the American name is retained. How many other corporations have they purchased already, listed under other names? LisaRudisill (talk) 13:13, 3 August 2018 (UTC) Lisa Rudisill[reply]
