Birthday
[edit]Is there a reason why her birthday is not in the article? Royal Autumn Crest (talk) 03:53, 7 August 2023 (UTC)
- Royal Autumn Crest, I removed a date of birth on May 11, 2023, because it was unsourced.
- In addition to Wikipedia's basic principle of citing sources (Wikipedia:Citing sources), a special need for citations applies with regard to elements of a biography of a living person (WP:BLPPRIVACY). If a date of birth is to appear in this article, it must be accompanied by a citation to a reliable, published, non-primary source. Eddie Blick (talk) 23:31, 7 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Teblick: acknowledged. If it's just that it's not sourced, I'll find something verifying her birthday. Just assumed it was disputed, but no one mentioned this. Royal Autumn Crest (talk) 18:30, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
- That would be good, @Royal Autumn Crest. Unfortunately, many of Wikipedia's biographies of living people contain purported dates of birth that have no source, have an unreliable source (such as IMDb) or have a source that violates WP:BLPPRIMARY (such as California Birth Index). It's good to add more dates of birth with valid sources. Eddie Blick (talk) 01:03, 12 August 2023 (UTC)
- Found a CBS News article from 2006 (about her wedding to Casey Affleck) that mentioned she was 28, used Template:Bbad to estimate her age. I couldn't find any other reference to her age other than her IMDB, and I've never done this before, but I think CBS is considered a reliable source? Sorry if this was wrong Trubbishwubbish86 (talk) 11:08, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
- That looks good to me, @Trubbishwubbish86. Thanks for finding the information and adding it. Eddie Blick (talk) 00:56, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
