This deletion is contested

[edit]

I contest this speedy deletion... it was hasty and inappropriate notice. Someone let me know about it and said I could a hangon tag to it, and I would have but it was too late. The tag was: "Speedy deletion of The Green Serpent: A tag has been placed on The Green Serpent requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 ...

If I remember correctly this is a French fairy tale of some literary significance, and shouldn't have been deleted for the reasons given (it is not a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.)Yes if restored I can add notability (if its not already there). Should I get an admin to help me? Goldenrowley (talk) 00:15, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Admin note: restored per user's requerst. It is up to editor to assert notability ASAP or else it will be deleted. -- Alexf(talk) 01:39, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
WP:CSD#A7 only applies to real people, groups and web content. Take this to WP:AFD instead. —  Tivedshambo  (t/c) 07:11, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you Tivedshambo, in reviewing the page I found it had been edited with a machete by previous editors. I've restored a version that listed the category, references and cited publications. It is in a series of 23 fairy tales listed under the Category:Madamed'Aulnoy. Fairy tales have literary and folkloric value. Goldenrowley (talk) 21:42, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
