DUNTROON
[edit]Well I love the warning about telling lies. DAAS are famous for telling lies, such as the "Doug Anthony was PM and assassinated in 1975" and "We are cast in Batman". But no, its clearly its slander to say Timmie told lies. :)
So... Duntroon claims Tim as a graduate. Is that a fully confirmed fact ? Or just one of those things that was said by a DAAS member ?? Only they said so many things.. (not calling them liars or anything haha)
- Apart from the listing of famous graduates on the Duntroon website, there's not much confirmation (and I suppose Duntroon may have just assumed his previous claims were true without checking). Interestingly, he doesn't mention Duntroon at all in his autobiography Carry a Big Stick, but I'm pretty sure he mentioned it in the live show of the same name—and I'm pretty sure Ferguson himself, editing as User:Luther Langbene, removed the Duntroon reference from the article in February saying it was "not accurate". I read another interview where he said he did attend Duntroon, but did not graduate and was expelled after a scandal which was in the papers at the time. Who knows? I'd say it's pretty unsafe to include unless someone can find references to this supposed scandal, and is quite likely to be one of DAAS's somewhat fictional backstories, albeit one which was very persistent. --Canley (talk) 02:24, 22 November 2013 (UTC)

Cleanup
[edit]This article requires major cleanup. Ferguson is an icon of Australian comedy, but this article needs major revision to become an encyclopedia article. As it stands, it appears to be written by his PR manager. It massively overuses external lines in the main article, and has a general over-promotional tone, with a lack of reliable 3rd party sources.
