Frank & Frank[edit]

So, why are they both called Frank? And why are their voices so odd? I was wondering if they were part of the show to illustrate people with disabilities being integrated into a mainstream group. GBC 18:30, 27 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, I am not kidding. That doesn't answer my question.71.166.56.84 01:42, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There is no information ttbomk regarding Frank and Frank and their learning capacity, but my suspicion is that Frank & Frank may be learning disabled - I wouldn't say severely, since their speech and ability to remember suggests otherwise, but probably mild to moderate...as for why they are both called Frank, I have not got a clue. Thor Malmjursson 12:18, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How come they seem learning disabled? I don't want to come across as challenging or anything... I'm just curious. I always enjoy hearing people's opinions, and plus, I'd like to learn more about this show. (Oh, and I think they're both called Frank simply because it's funny.)71.166.56.84 22:08, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, my elder brother is moderately learning disabled, and He displays a number of the traits which the 2 Franks do, like the slight stutter in Frank 2, the inability to follow instructions, broken speech (taking longer to say things than someone of standard mental capacity), plus it also appears to me that the Franks are of a slightly lower "mental age" than the rest of the group. It may be, I don't know, that the Franks are simply victims of Global Learning Delay, rather than an actual learning disability, but I could not be 100% certain. Plus, unless its the dog breed, have you noticed how they both display facial traits resembling Down's Syndrome? Just a guess... :) Thor Malmjursson 09:59, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Interesting! You know, I'm beginning to think they were added to illustrate people with disabilities being integrated into a mainstream group myself. Of course, I don't see any official sources, but I do know that sometimes writers put these things in and let the readers/viewers figure it out themselves... Which is the sort of thing I love... But anyway, I'm starting to take this show way too seriously now. ;) 71.166.56.84 17:42, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Episode notability[edit]

Many or all of the existing individual episode pages for this series appear to fail the notability guidelines for television episodes, and have been tagged accordingly. These articles can be improved through the inclusion of real-world information from reliable sources to assert notability. Overly long plot summaries should be edited, to a maximum length of approximately ten words per minute of screen time. Trivia should be integrated into the body of the article, or removed if it is not directly relevant. Quotes and images should only be used as part of a critical analysis of the episode. You might also consider merging any notable information onto the show's "List of episodes" or season pages. Otherwise, when these pages come up for review, they may be redirected or merged. If you want any help or further information, then come to Wikipedia:WikiProject Television/Episode coverage. Thanks.

Lily and Fritz[edit]

i don't believe that Lily likes Charles because she interacts with Fritz more often and it appears more as if Fritz likes her back. Please use more relevant details of the characters' profiles. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cynthia0516 (talkcontribs) 20:17, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just because she interacts with Fritz more, doesn't mean she like him any more. Besides, if you saw the whole series, you would know of the episode where Lily and Charles made secret surprise valentines for each other. And that means they don't like each other? Watch the show a bit more! :) Thor Malmjursson (talk) 22:39, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fritz is a skunk, not a badger.[edit]

The books have a badger girl named Hazel and she looks completely different from Fritz (Hazel has a completely white face with black lines from the ears to the nose and over the eyes, Fritz has a black face with a white stripe down the muzzle between the eyes). Since the cartoon is based on the book series, the books should be considered canon, even if all the characters aren't used. 209.87.18.2 (talk) 20:46, 17 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is rubbish pure and simple. Fritz, Fritz's mom and Miss Appleberry are BADGERS. I have repaired this article AGAIN, despite notes here to the contrary. If you can show me a Reliable Source, I'll take it. Till then, no dice. I can show you a reliable source now. Read the show summary at www.tv.com, it clearly lists Fritz as a badger. Or go here and click Full Description, in the article area, it too lists Fritz as a Badger. Or here, click more and read the Synopsis. And so on. I think I've proved my point. And just in case you may have missed it...

FRITZ IS A BADGER!!

XD

Thor Malmjursson (talk) 14:14, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • TV.com are run by idiots. The only reason they state that Fritz is a badger is because, up to the point I fixed it, we said he was a badger. Their idea of a 'relaible source' is another website. If you insist, I can and will take the specific book(s) out from the local library, scan the pictures in question and watch you eat crow. Hazel is clearly a badger and Fritz looks nothing like her. Just because Hazel isn't in the cartoon doesn't mean Fritz changes species. HalfShadow 21:17, 28 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, and by the way, as per Tv.com: 'Timothy Goes to School explores the experiences and feelings of children in kindergarten. Based on a series of children's books by acclaimed author/illustrator Rosemary Wells, the charming animated television program aims to assuage kid's fears about starting kindergarten. Chronicling the comedic adventures of a bright young raccoon named Timothy and classmates such as Nora the boisterous mouse, Fritz the curious skunk, Lilly the forgetful fox, and Yoko the violin-playing cat, the warmhearted series shows that while school can be a lot of work, it can also be a lot of fun.' *cough* HalfShadow 21:22, 28 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Er...As per TV.com, should you read the show summary, you would notice the following area -

"A raccoon named Timothy starts kindergarten, and meets many new people and many new friends. He helps others with their challenges and they would help Timothy on something he is struggling on.

Yoko, a Japanese cat who is one of Timothy's best friends, is a very talented violin player. Fritz the badger is another one of Timothy's friends who wants to discover new things, leaving a mess behind. Charles is a shy little mouse while Nora is a loud little mouse. Claude is a smart raccoon who thinks he is better than everyone else, Lilly is a forgetful fox, Grace is a wonderful cat dancer, and Doris is a beaver who loves different kinds of paintings than everyone else."

That is what I based this reference on. TV.com are not run by idiots, and a general note is that tv.com is accepted here as a reliable source. I'm not eating crow, but I can offer you a little badger if you wish. Thor Malmjursson (talk) 18:17, 29 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • That, if anything, actually proves my point: The opening paragraph says one thing but they contradict themselves in the next. Also, you effectively only have once source; the cduniverse and rotten tomatoes synopses are copy/pastes of an (appaently) older version of the TV.com synposis lead paragraph.

From the book 'Yoko': A picture of Fritz, a picture of Hazel and two pictures of them together. As you can see, they look nothing alike; Hazel is clearly a badger, and the only thing that looks like Fritz is a skunk. HalfShadow 01:58, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yoko's father[edit]

He shows up and had a short dialog when in the audience of a school presentation (but Yoko's mom is alone in two other audiences of parents). This note is in regard to the edit made in the "others" section of the character list. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.11.122.131 (talk) 00:34, 14 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
