You know what, I have to go out, but I can do this from my car, said Toby Crabel, 43, preparing to respond to a reporter's inquiry on the subject. I'll call you back in three minutes. Mr. Crabel credits technology with allowing him to run a hedge fund out of his house in the middle of some cornfields northwest of Milwaukee. He has programmed his network of computers so that when he is reading to his daughter Kira, 8, he can be prompted by a digitized female voice that it is time to buy Treasury bonds.

This is insufficient to establish year of birth as 1955. It could have been 1954 or 1956 as well.

I don't like the idea...of managed futures trading. Proponents... are often religious about their beliefs and passionately argue the eventual demise of their opposite. The two strategies are those of the trend-followers and the counter-trendists. On the counter-trend side, perhaps the most well-known is Toby Crabel. He manages more than $1.6bn and has written the book "Day Trading with Short-term Price Patterns". Despite the volatility in the markets, Crabel only had two down months in 2004: March was down 0.79% and June was down 0.39% ... He finished the year with a 3.36% return, less than the yield on a 10-year treasury. His average return per year has been 9.48% and his worst drawdown is only 4.23%...some institutional investors are willing to pay a 3% management fee and 20 % incentive fee to have the sleepy volatility of a Crabel.

Deletion Request 2021-12-09

I represent this article's subject, Toby Crabel, and am requesting deletion of this page on his behalf and at his request. Mr. Crabel regards himself as a non-notable, private person, and he wants this article to be deleted. I've read the deletion policy and believe this article violates the guidance for biographies of living persons. The cited sources and external links have significant reliability concerns (many of the links lead to pages that no longer exist). None of the information in this article can be independently verified via public sources. Additionally, there is personal information shared, such as Mr. Crabel's birthdate that cannot be verified. Should the page be kept, I have removed his full B-day and kept only the year. You need to make sure to extract his b-day from other media. The provided source did not have his B-day, but the News-Press article from 1973 lists his age as 18, so regardless, the year of birth is available publicly.
