Add "In 2023, Chris Taylor Brown admits he was once a member of the Proud Boys" Here is video evidence of him admitting to it https://youtube.com/shorts/OQF7vfhuXPY?feature=share at the :50 mark Thatdaneshguy (talk) 06:51, 27 April 2023 (UTC)
- Not done - We need a reliable, third party source to verify this. Also, probably an actual connection to the band itself. So much of the social media section was included because it was tied to the band's main account or affected the band somehow. Sergecross73 msg me 12:23, 27 April 2023 (UTC)
Slight wording change?
[edit]I don't want to make this change without posting for some sort of consensus/agreement here first, but in the part of the article about the band's use of social media, I noticed one part worded like this: "In December 2020, the band's Twitter account was suspended after Brown wrote a series of tweets that multiple publications interpreted to be about defending statutory rape, where Brown said he would 'high five' a hypothetical 15-year-old boy who had sex with a 25-year-old female teacher."
The only part I had an issue with was "had sex with," given that legally, that scenario would not be considered sex, but molestation or assault. Should that wording be slightly tweaked to reflect that? I know it mentions statutory rape prior, but I'm only talking about the part after that. Afddiary (talk) 21:46, 29 July 2023 (UTC)
- I'd understand your concern if we didn't already have proper framing...but we do, we already make it pretty clear we're talking about statutory rape. My concern is that, the part in question is more about outlining what he said, and the words he used wasn't in terms of molestation or assault. It's not that you're wrong, but it's more that your version probably does a worse job of illustrating the actual statement that was made. Sergecross73 msg me 23:31, 29 July 2023 (UTC)
The Fall
[edit]Their website now says the album will release in early 2024, not late 2023. This needs to be updated here. 174.251.64.236 (talk) 17:17, 15 November 2023 (UTC)
