[edit]@Vyasarajg, Please discuss the issue here rather than include changes in the main article. If you provide any peer reviewed source I will include it in the article. Please understand that this is an "English" encyclopaedia so only peer-reviewed and English language sources will be taken. If you find any resources in Kannada please update the Kannada page of the article. Prabhanjan Mutalik (talk) 10:29, 14 March 2018 (UTC)
@ Prabhanjanmutalik: I would like to clarify some points: Based on the discussion I have included the book by "Achar, S.K (2008). Yathiraja Vadiraja's Theertha Prabandha. T.T.D. religious publications series - 774. Tirupathi: Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams. pp. 19, 35, 45, 80. LCCN 2012323284. OCLC 703547467. OL 25190487M". What is the reason for removing this cited publication? As far as I have observed, I have not violated any rules of Wikipedia. Please check the Wikipedia WP:RS (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:RS) and let me know, if you think there is a violation. The Wikipedia page should not be unaltered unless you can provide a reliable peer-reviewed published English source. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vyasarajg (talk • contribs) 17:35, 16 April 2018 (UTC)
@Vyasarajg Hello. So most of these sources are not peer-reviewed (as they come from a religious institution) which is important to establish the neutrality of the content. Scholarly opinion and discussion is important as this is an encyclopaedia and not a blog. Scholars like B.N.K Sharma or K.T. Pandurangi would be a start if you want reliable content (as their works are academic and include all the necessary references and citations). There many issues with the changes you have made. The words you have used are religious jargon. The terms like "Ruju" and "Latavya" do not make sense to anyone outside the Madhva community. You should also note that this issue is highly contested inside the Madhva community itself. The surrounding controversy is not mentioned and further obscures the reliability. "the future wind-god to assume the position of Lord Brahma" I am afraid this is rather unclear to anyone who is not familiar with the "Taratamya" concept in Madhva theology. The intention of this article should be to make things more clear to people from any country or culture, not befuddle them with jargon. So please reliable, peer reviewed sources would be welcome. If not, this information can be added as a footnote with better phrasing. P.S. Stop edit warring. We can have a discussion and sort this out instead of making changes directly to the article.
