Removing acid attack on Mona Lisa
[edit]I've removed the sentence
- In 1956, the lower part of the painting was severely damaged when a vandal doused the painting with acid while it was on display at a museum in Montauban, France.
for which "Faces of the week". BBC. 29 September 2006. was given as reference. I originally added this fact to Mona Lisa in 2003, but it was pointed out by user:Flamerule in Talk:Mona_Lisa#Supposed 1956 acid attack that all "sources" for that fact date later than 2003 and appear to refer back to Wikipedia. I am a student and the changes I made to my wikipedia page included deleting certain edits I created and adding to the types of art destruction page. Additionally I customized my lead by making it a bit more simple!
