Creation of Cartune Classics Wiki Article and/or filmography Article Listing Cartoons in Series

[edit]

A Cartune Classics article needs to be created similar to the articles about the Phantasies, Noveltoons, ComiColor Cartoons, Color Classics, Happy Harmonies, Merrie Melodies, Looney Tunes, Rainbow Parade, Silly Symphonies, Color Rhapsody, Terrytoons, Screen Songs, and Aesop's Fables series, not to mention the one created on Lantz's Swing Symphony. If it is not possible to create a Cartune Classics article, for what ever reason, then at the very least a filmography of the cartoons that made up the Cartune Classics should be created to document these cartoons. This could be similar to Other articles on Lantz's characters, such as Andy Panda filmography or Oswald the Lucky Rabbit filmography. From what I understand there are 51 Cartune Classics, which consist of:

  • Jolly Little Elves - (1934)
  • Toyland Premiere - (1934)
  • Candyland - (1935)
  • Springtime Serenade - (1935)
  • Three Lazy Mice - (1935)
  • Fox And The Rabbit - (1935)
  • The Rabbit Hunt - (1938)
  • Sailor Mouse - (1938)
  • The Disobedient Mouse - (1938)
  • Baby Kittens - (1938)
  • Little Blue Blackbird - (1938)
  • Soup To Mutts - (1939)
  • I'm Just A Jitterbug - (1939)
  • Birth Of A Toothpick - (1939)
  • The One-Armed Bandit - (1939)
  • Crackpot Cruise - (1939)
  • Charlie Cuckoo - (1939)
  • Nellie Of The Circus - (1939)
  • Bolo-Mola Land - (1939)
  • The Bird On Nellie's Hat - (1939)
  • Arabs With Dirty Fezzes - (1939)
  • Snuffy's Party - (1939)
  • Slaphappy Valley - (1939)
  • Kittens' Mittens - (1940)
  • Adventures Of Tom Thumb Jr. - (1940)
  • Recruiting Daze - (1940)
  • Syncopated Sioux - (1940)
  • Fair Today - (1941)
  • Scrub Me Mama With A Boogie Beat - (1941)
  • Hysterical Highspots In American History - (1941)
  • Salt Water Daffy - (1941)
  • Andy Panda's Pop (Reissued as Goofy Roofer for television) - (1941)
  • Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy Of Company "B" - (1941)
  • Man's Best Friend - (1941)
  • Mother Goose On The Loose - (1942)
  • Pigeon Patrol - (1942)
  • Air Radio Warden - (1942)
  • Canine Commandos - (1943)
  • The Mountain Flower - (1949)
  • Fisherman's Luck - (1949)
  • The Dog That Cried Wolf - (1953)
  • Dig That Dog - (1954)
  • Broadway Bow Wow's - (1954)
  • Crazy Mixed Up Pup - (1955)
  • Flea For Two - (1955)
  • The Plumber Of Seville - (1957)
  • Goofy Gardener - (1957)
  • Hunger Strife - (1960)
  • Eggnapper - (1961)
  • Papoose On The Loose - (1961)
  • The Bears And The Bees - (1961)

I don't have a wiki account , so I cannot create pages, however, if there is anyone who has an account and has the time, I would appreciate it if someone would create such a page discussing the Cartune Classics in general and listing the cartoons that were made up the series. Information can be found on The Walter Lantz Cartune Encyclopedia or The Big Cartoon Database.--Stel (talk) 21:54, 05 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Added "Original Research" tag

[edit]

There are many unsourced claims and entire paragraphs (especially in the "history" section) which do not have citations. There were too many to individually tag with "citation needed," so this article seems to merit the tag. Kahnwiley (talk) 17:19, 10 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
