Source: Am 1. Mai, dem Tag der Arbeit, musste er im Smoking zu einem königlichen Bankett fahren, das war schwer verdauliche Kost für den Sozialdemokraten. Hey Paradise Chronicle, I came here to promote this, but I can't help but feel that we're missing out on a better hook here as the actual German text says essentially says they literally found this hard to digest - I think that would be quite funny if quoted. --GGT (talk) 13:20, 24 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

GGT For the German language this might work good, you are right. Hard to digest is a saying (or proverb) in the German language for when one should do something one doesn't like. In the English language I don't remember to have heard it making sense.
