I am unclear on how this person is notable. Yes he has authored a few books (in fact I have one of them and actually like it) and a few papers, and he is a professor. But that description matches thousands of professors. As far as I can tell a) he has not created any standards b) his work is not particularly cited (just cited as any average professor) c) he has no major awards or fellowships listed. Basically he sounds like a standard academic as one might find in any large university.
