Current status: Delisted good article |
I'm kinda sick of people calling this game a "sequel" to Yoshi's Island. It has nothing to do with that game except graphical style and characters. --thatkidsam
Agreed. Get rid of it, if you want.-- 84.68.137.232 13:17, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
Plural of Yoshi
[edit]Hey, everyone. I've read the term "Yoshies" before when referencing more than one Yoshi. The way it is currently would imply that the plural of Yoshi is like that of Pokemon. In previous Yoshi games, Yoshies was used as the plural. Was it different in this game? It makes sense (and sounds more refined) to call them Yoshi, but I think it might be in error :(. And yes, I am being a rampant perfectionist. That's just me :D. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Stumpers (talk • contribs)
GA Passed
[edit]This article has gone from being on hold to being a GA article. I went ahead and fixed minor spelling errors myself (just to get it out of the way) without logging in first. This article definently meets GA standards now. —Preceding unsigned comment added by FunPika (talk • contribs)
Totakas song
[edit]I added a reference to totaka's song, which can be found in the game. We agreed on the totaka song page to just add the access method in games sections, rather than the totaka section. Just thought I'd let you all know.--Iamstillhiro1112 14:55, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
Go and Touch Yoshi?
[edit]Is the controversy section really needed? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.243.25.69 (talk) 02:52, August 29, 2007 (UTC)
Middle success?
[edit]Under the reception section, i noticed it says "Touch & Go was a middle success". I'm not too sure whether this actually makes sense. Should it say something like "Touch & Go was a moderate success"? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.181.29.67 (talk) 22:57, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
Speedy delisting from GA status
[edit]I have boldly delisted from Good Article ststus for the following reasons:
- The Gameplay section is too detailed (see WP:GAMEGUIDE) and does not adequately explain to people who have not heard of this game how to play it. That section is also completely unreferenced and may constitute original research.
- The bullets in the Plot section seem to fit in the Gameplay section, as it is describing the gameplay and not really the plot. That section is likewise unreferenced and may also be original research.
- The bulleted list needs to be rewritten in prose (i.e. actual paragraphs)
- The Development section is cut off for some reason I don't know.
- The second paragraph in the lead is unreferenced/unverifiable.
- The baby Luigi image doesn't seem to fit in that section. The caption needs to be rewritten to be more descriptive and encyclopedic (an alternative would be to remove that image and present an image showing the actual gameplay, which I think serves a better purpose).
For those reasons stated above, I am delisting from GA status and assessing the article as C-Class under WikiProject Video games. Feel free to improve the article appropriately and nominate it again for GA when ready. MuZemike 19:03, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

Bibliography for Yoshi Touch and Go for class, please offer advice on further or alternate sources to use for bibliography!
[edit]It's not much of a bibliography, but for now, here's an additional source for the "reception" section of the Yoshi Touch and Go article. Any advice on further sources to serach for, or reasons why this source is not usable, is appreciated.
