Musicnotes.com

[edit]

Going by Musicnotes.com to determine the key of a song is not a good idea as that's the key pianist transcribers prefer, vis Elton John at Dick James with a Beatles catalogue where they never played in Eb. Brett Alexander Hunter (talk) 03:16, 20 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Um, Orleans song of similar title?

Why no reference? - Darkhawk

I don't know, why is there no reference to this song from "Still the One"?? --Thankyoubaby 02:11, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Good Article

[edit]

I passed the article. mrholybrain 22:37, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This article has been delisted, as it fails criterion 1 ("well written") — it does not conform to the Manual of Style. Specifically, see WP:MUSIC/TABLE for the proper layout of the indiscriminately collected information that makes up over a third of the article. --keepsleeping slack off! 16:24, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well I'd say it stays as a Good Article and it looks like it's 2 to 1, so it will stay that way. --Thankyoubaby 03:25, 17 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
As there seems to be some debate I've now taken this to Wikipedia:Good articles/Review. --Salix alba (talk) 12:26, 17 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Clarity?

[edit]

while it was the first to be released to pop and international markets. Does this mean it was the first of her songs to be released to those markets? -Malkinann 21:23, 17 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it does. --Thankyoubaby 07:35, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Steel solo

[edit]

Does anyone know if the steel guitar solo in this song was played backwards? It sure sounds like it. TenPoundHammer 11:06, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

@TenPoundHammer Hello! Thank you for the review. Regarding the song's performance on the Canadian charts, in the "Commercial performance" section there is information about the song's performance on the Canadian RPM Singles, Adult Contemporary and Country charts. Best regards, TabooMatters94 (talk) 20:14, 9 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

GA review (see here for what the criteria are, and here for what they are not)

Good work so far. Just a couple minor things and this should pass.

  1. It is reasonably well written.
a (prose, spelling, and grammar): b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
No issues spotted here. Made a couple minor tweaks. Added a {{Use Canadian English}} for good measure and fixed some {{cite AV media notes}} errors.
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (reference section): b (inline citations to reliable sources): c (OR): d (copyvio and plagiarism):
Spot-checked several newspapers.com sources and they all contained the proper information without any evidence of OR.
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
I would recommend adding the song's performance on the Canadian charts to the "commercial performance" section, as Twain is Canadian.
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images and other media, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free content have non-free use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
All images have proper alt tags as well.
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:
Good work. Only addition should be the Canadian charts and then this is good to pass.
