Excessive game-by-game detail

[edit]

As of the July 31 version of this article, there seems to be too much game-by-game detail that is excessive for this bio, but perhaps more suitable for 2014 PBA Governors' Cup or 2013–14 Barangay Ginebra San Miguel season. The individual games don't seem that notable to mention his stats for each game.—Bagumba (talk) 01:08, 31 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It is needed in the article and it's not intricate, as you can see an import in the PBA of his height can only play few games at the league, and also because he's an import and the conference where he played was shortened because of the national team preperations for the World Cup, and the section is named Barangay Ginebra San Miguel stint which means what he did during his career with Ginebra, and lastly the Stats are also shown how many points he tallies, and not just they win the game or not. "Zaccheus" or "Z." Mason?

[edit]

I saw the page moved and re-moved. Mason has clearly been known as "Z" as a college player. If he was known as "Zaccheus" in the Philippines (though the article originally did say "also known as Big Z"), I must point out that he only played there for about two months and is no longer with the team, as opposed to three seasons at the major college level in the US. I am content to see how he is billed when he signs for the upcoming season, but if it is "Z" I plan to move the page back. Rikster2 (talk) 17:59, 31 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I originally moved it as WP:COMMONNAME. His college bio @Chatanooga, listed him as "Z. Mason", and says "prefers to go by the name Z. Mason". His bio @Ole Miss also had him a "Z". Google hits show 58,300 for "'Z. Mason' basketball football" vs 22,700 for "'Zaccheus Mason' basketball football". You can be bold and move it, or start a WP:RM.—Bagumba (talk) 18:20, 31 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
