Chip Fairway

[edit]
  • ... that Chip Fairway left the sporting world at age 31 so that he could spend more time with his family?
  • ALT1:... that Chip Fairway retired from sports to become the local barber in his home town?
  • Comment: Nomination on behalf of an IP.

  • New enough and long enough, no sign of copyvio. The first hook is reliably sourced, but the first of the three citations is a dead link. However, none of the four citations in the paragraph about him being a barber mention anything about that profession (unless I'm mistaken). QPQ not needed. '''tAD''' (talk) 15:31, 15 March 2016 (UTC)
  • The F4Wonline.com article (citation #8) is no longer available online so I removed the url. I also added the Fairway memorial podcast (citation #13) to support his post-retirement life as a barber and youth football coach. 72.74.201.153 (talk) 19:35, 15 March 2016 (UTC)
  • I can suggest more hooks if the ones here aren't interesting enough. 72.74.201.153 (talk) 18:37, 12 April 2016 (UTC)
  • Shame he didn't retire to spend more time golfing. EEng 22:58, 2 April 2016 (UTC)

BlueMoonset I am getting an error message when trying to open this podcast. This is a fantastic article so I do assume good faith. I would just like a third-party user to say that they have seen the evidence in the podcast. If this can't be done, I will keep this open to additional hooks, certainly. The Almightey Drill, I'm afraid I can't confirm the podcast, as the site doesn't appear to be there any longer. I'm pinging 72.74.201.153 in the hope that there's another source, or that other hooks can be suggested. BlueMoonset (talk) 16:00, 27 April 2016 (UTC)

Isn't the first hook already reliably sourced? F4Wonline.com, PWInsider.com and 411mania.com all claim he retired to spend more time with his family.

The podcast is listed at iTunes and Poddirectory.com but I'm not able to access them. It was available at the time the article was written. I understand if it can't be used to source the second hook. 72.74.201.153 (talk) 19:13, 28 April 2016 (UTC)

  • - Review completed by User:The Almightey Drill, the first hook is sourced; it may not be overly interesting but its good enough.. lets get this nomination moving.. ツStacey (talk) 11:14, 5 May 2016 (UTC)
