... that little Ruth Schwarz rescued by Alojzy Plewa from the Sambor Ghetto during the Holocaust in occupied Poland (both pictured) was given a Polish sounding name for her safety?

Detailed, well sourced, moving article, thank you. Polish and Ukrainian sources accepted AGF. The image is licensed and a good illustration. I like the second version better, and suggest to even shorten that, as more to the point of the rescue:
