The CW4Kids is a Saturday morning cartoon block on The CW that premiered on Saturday, May 24, 2008 in the place of Kids' WB (now an online network). The block is programmed by 4Kids Entertainment, which also programmed the competing 4Kids TV block (which was discontinued on December 27, 2008, on the Fox network while Fox added Weekend Marketplace for Saturday mornings since January 3, 2009). Even though 4Kids TV was discontinued as it's now online only, this programming block continued to use the CW4Kids name, to reflect to the network it airs on, but on April 28, 2010, 4Kids announced it would rename the block as Toonzai! on August 14, 2010.[1] 4Kids also indicated that it will retain Yu-Gi-Oh! and Sonic X in its lineup.
Programming
In most markets, most affiliates use the network's current Saturday morning schedule, though some, such as Atlanta's WUPA-TV air the block on Sundays instead due to existing Saturday programming (most being former UPN affiliates which traditionally used Saturdays for other programming due to UPN's lack of a children's block on that morning).
