The Documentary 2.5 is the eleventh (seventh major-label) studio album by American rapper The Game; it was released on October 16, 2015 by Blood Money Entertainment and eOne Music. The album is considered the second half of a two-piece project, supplementing his sixth studio album The Documentary 2 (2015) released one week earlier. The album also features will.i.am, along with other guest appearances from Nas, Busta Rhymes, E-40, Scarface, DJ Quik, Lil Wayne, Schoolboy Q, Jay Rock, YG, Problem, Skrillex, and Ty Dolla $ign, among others.

The album was supported by the single "El Chapo" with Skrillex.

The Documentary 2.5 received generally favorable reviews from contemporary music critics. At Metacritic, which assigns a normalized rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics, the album received an average score of 79, which indicates "generally favorable reviews", based on 6 reviews.[8]

Commercial performance

The Documentary 2.5 debuted at number 6 on the US Billboard 200, moving 42,000 copies in pure album sales, and nearly 48,000 units including streams in its first week.[9] As of November 4, 2015, the album had sold a total of 54,000 units.[10]
