Buddhists venerate the Bo tree in respect of providing shade to Buddha in attaining enlightenment but not for anything else. In later times many mythological rituals may have sprung but the tree is an actual part of the Buddhism in the form of its original nature. Bo tree cannot be compared to the Dodona or Yggdrasil which are just mythical trees. Bo tree and its branches really exist, and are proven to be part of actual historical events. undo Tag: Visual edit
