User:Erik/Iron Man in film
The fictional character Iron Man, a superhero who appears in comic books published by Marvel Comics, also appears in live-action feature films and animated direct-to-video films. Actor Robert Downey Jr. portrays the character in the feature films. Stand-alone films about the character include Iron Man (2008), Iron Man 2 (2010), and the upcoming Iron Man 3 (2013). Downey Jr. also portrayed Iron Man as part of an ensemble for The Avengers (2012) and has made cameo appearances in several other films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the direct-to-video films, the character has been voiced by different actors.
