EASTENDERS CHARACTERS

I don't think this is a good idea. Firstly, it would mean things being removed once they'd aired, and everything would have to be very strictly referenced. If there is a particularly notable storyline coming up, details can be added to development sections of the characters involved, but I don't think there should be an article for it. –anemoneprojectors– 17:27, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

PICTURES GOING TO BE CANCELLED?

I remember not a long time ago there was a pciture of people like Becca Swanson,Rainie Cross and Kim Fox but thye all dissapered. Will this happen to the 2010 charcters?--MayhemMario (talk) 17:00, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

This is to do with WP:NFLISTS. We had a very lengthy discussion about it, but basically, we can't use non-free images in lists, however the 2010 images weren't removed. I'm not sure why the person doing the removals left them in, but I think it might be because the 2010 characters were still being developed and many of them may become notable enough to be split off - as Jodie just was. Adding citations

Hi, I'm glad you've learnt to add citations, but can you make sure that the "title" field matches the actual title of the article (e.g. "Ross Kemp has "no plans" for 'Enders" and not "'No 'Eastenders' return for Grant Mitchell") and that the correct author is attributed (e.g. in that case it was Paul Millar, not Daniel Kilkelly). You did the same thing on Vanessa Gold's page as well as Grant Mitchell (EastEnders). –anemoneprojectors– 21:53, 19 February 2011 (UTC)

I just realised why you kept changing the ref name in Kim's bio - there was already a reference with that name. I think you may have copied the old reference to replace fields with the new one, but didn't change the title, and I didn't realise until now. Copying text from websites

If someone on Digital Spy or some other news site writes a story, please can you not copy their words directly to Wikipedia as this is considered a violation of copyright. You should write in your own words, thanks :) –anemoneprojectors– 15:40, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

You can copy quotes, though sometimes it's better to paraphrase them. A citation has to go directly after the quote. But you can't copy articles. –anemoneprojectors– 22:08, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

You're adding a lot of stuff, but not everything is relevant - Derek Martin's opinion on Jean Slater returning isn't relevant to Charlie Slater. Also when you're adding quotes, the quotation marks are all over the place. Many article talk pages contain references needing to be added, so it might be a good idea to check there before looking at Digital Spy because you might find the same thing from a differen website - relying on a single source doesn't help to establish notability. Especially changing references to Digital Spy ones is unhelpful. Im finding it really hard to find any refs as i mostly use digital spy but as the soap page was only cretaed in about 2000-2002? and she was first introduced in 1993 i cant really find any i will try it is just really hard!--MayhemMario (talk) 16:51, 14 March 2011 (UTC)

I have been searching as i am doing EE 2008 for dotty cotton I have,already found five refs without even thinking about it..... 1.first appearance 2.last appearance 3.profile on BBC 4.ref already there and 5. When reverting vandalism can you make sure there aren't more edits to revert? You only undid one edit to List of EastEnders characters (2011) (check the page history to see the problem) and there have been other times you've done this. Help me

On my userpage my userboxes aren't dropping down at all the same time. I want it so they all appear at the same time not just one. Also when you do open them all up the text gets smaller and smaller. Please help =) MayhemMario (talk)

There's not much whitespace but to be honest I think Tyzack's image should be removed (technically both should as we're not allowed images in lists), as she was only in 3 or 4 episodes. If she gets split off in 5 months then we can restore it. –anemoneprojectors– 18:43, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
