Super League 2010

[edit]

The first ever Super League season began in January 2010. AS Salarudo, Crash 96 and FC Villa competed in the 2010 Super League.

New rules were in place by the time the league had started in January. These rules were that every player must obtain a 'Super League License' to play for any clubs, cheating of any sort will result in immediate punishment and that regular drugs tests will take place.

In February, Crash were punished for their failure to complete a fixture against Salarudo. The game was awarded as a 3-0 win to Salarudo.

In March, six Salarudo players were suspended for over a month after testing positive for performance enhancing drugs. The players banned were Yuki Abe, Stefan Kießling, Miroslav Klose, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Piotr Trochowski and Ruud van Nistelrooy. They could not play again until May.

In May, four more Salarudo players were suspended after failing drug tests. The players who were suspended were Mario Gómez, Philipp Lahm, Naldo and Neymar. They would not play again until July.
