10 Brands That Will Disappear

[edit]

"10 Brands That Will Disappear" is an annual feature that predicts which brands will disappear in the following year. The first feature, "10 Brands That Will Disappear in 2010" was published in December 2009. The feature has been republished by Time[1], USA Today[2], The Huffington Post[3], and various other affiliates.

Of the 76 brands listed since the feature began, only ten have effectively disappeared and are no longer in use, Pebble, Sports Authority, Leap Wireless, The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company, US Airways, Current TV, Saab, Palm, Inc., Borders, and Sun Microsystems. Two others, Sony Ericsson and Research in Motion, have undergone rebranding with the same core business intact.
