Clear

[edit]

Please don't use the {{-}} template unless you understand what it does. It is meant to clear floating elements. So things like thumbnails or commons template boxes. However, it should not merely be placed after any floating element, but rather one where it would be inappropriate for the following text to get reflowed by it (see the template documentation for an example). Merely using it for everything would leave unnecessary and unsightly gaps. On Scaphism, it wasn't even needed because there weren't any floating elements. Thank you. Hi, please stop ignoring messages from other users. Wikipedia is a collaborative project, and being an IP editor does not excuse continuing to do something incorrectly after informed about it. Opencooper (talk) 23:25, 7 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Article appendices

[edit]

Please stop systematically changing the names of appendices in articles. On Wikipedia, there is no prescribed standard for naming notes and references sections per MOS:NOTES and WP:CITEVAR. Editors have some freedom (within reason) to choose headings when they create articles. If you want to impose a standard system then you must first get it agreed on a policy discussion page and have it written into the guidelines.

Based on your editing style, I am pretty sure I have talked to you about this before and blocked a number of IP addresses because you fail to listen. Because of that, and because you are so prolific and persistent with this problem, I am simply going to revert all your work. It is too time consuming to go through your edits manually to retain what is actually useful. So if you don't want all your work wiped out in the future, please stop doing this.
